Can I be taller than my parents?!

Question: Can I be taller than my parents?
My mom is 5' 4" and my dad is about 5' 4" also. I am 13 and 5' 4" already. On my mom's side however, most of the men are from 5' 7" to 5' 10". And apparently, my great grandfather was 6' 2"+. Is it possible for me to get my great grandfather's genes?

Also, is there anyway of knowing which side of your family you're on? Like your mom's or dad's.
Thanks for your time!

Answers:

Yes, you can be taller than your parents.

My Mom was 5 foot, my Dad 5'8". I am 5'10", but both my sisters are 5'1". My great grandparents were very tall (Dutch) well over 6 feet, and apparently I inherited their height.

As for knowing what side of the family you take after, look at your mom. Look at your Dad. Which do you look more like? Whose characteristics are similar to yours? It may be a combination - because don't ever forget you are you - a unique person.

Of course it's possible that you could be taller. Heck, you might end up 5'5", or 5'6". As fro being 5'10", idk

I believe so! My 12 year old son is already my height. So I'm assuming he will be a tall man when he grows up. If you're already near your parents height I think you will soon pass them up ;)
