Help! I'm really worried?!

Question: Help! I'm really worried?
We were dissecting earthworms and clamworms in AP bio. But then some of the water where the earth and clam worms were preserved in spilled on my legs and all over my friend too.

I had to wait until I got home to wash it off. I was worried about the bacteria in that container where the worms were preserved in. After all, there's a reason why we have to use latex gloves while dissecting right?

What kind of bacteria do you think could have gotten on my skin? Should I be worried?

Answers:

Hi,
Dont worry! Its not your schools going to give you dirty worms or anything! They are sanitized before they leave the factory and even if there were bacteria it would hav to land on an open cut of something so i dont think you will have a problem :)

If it was just water you should be fine. And if it didn't get it into any open wound, mouth, eyes or nose then no reason to worry unless there is something physically wrong or if you feel ill. You always wear gloves when dissecting in a lab.
