Is it normal to be so fatigued (new job)?!

Question: Is it normal to be so fatigued (new job)?
Two weeks ago I started an apprenticeship fresh out of trade school, so it's my first time working an 8.5 hour job and the first time I've had to get up at 5:30 AM. I've gotten used to going to sleep early, but I still experience fatigue during working days, and even during weekends (it's Sunday here currently, and I've been feeling somewhat tired throughout the day, even though I've gotten 9-10 hours of sleep and haven't worked since Friday...) I go to the gym for an hour 4 days a week (weight lifting) and walk my dog every day.

So my question is - is this fatigue normal? Will my body adjust or is it something I should be worried about? Even on days which aren't demanding in the slightest (physically or mentally) I get tired.

Answers:

From what I'm reading your body is just not used to this tremendous change yet! It's getting used to its new sleeping schedule and all that working out not to mention those long days at work. The fatigue is normal but if it lasts for a whole other week or gets worse I'd then maybe worry just a little. Make sure your water intake is high, exercising is great, and sleeping too much isn't always good for you. Just get about 8 hrs that should be enough.

Hope everything works out and that you feel better.

you just have started to have a job like that. your body has not yet adopted to your new life style its actually normal to be fatigue because you are still not used to doing that job. Give it time to adopt. while your still adopting it may be a good idea that you lessen your activities. you don't really need to stop your other activities but just lessen it to give you body time to rest =)

That's completely normal. Your just exepriencing a new lifestyle and your body is trying to catch up. :)

When you reach 21 your body starts to build stamina but cut back on the Gym by 1/2 and
I think you won't deplete yourself.
By about 30 you will build strong stamina and not just strength like when you're younger.
Also start taking vitamins yes vitamins every day.
Good grade of multi vitamins with minerals.
Calcium with vitamin D every day.
And vitamin C and E. every day.
Been there done that.
No steroids please.
Stay away from alcohol and other drugs pills and meth or most prescribed legal meds for pain depression most cause you more harm than good.
