I SPRAYED MACE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

HOLY ****! I was being dumb and we have mace and I wanted to see how it sprays so I sprayed it in the toilet then about 10 sec later my throat felt like it was closing and it burns like **** but ice seems to help. Is it safe that I breathed it in? I probably will never do that again, I opened the window washed the toilet with more water and sprayed air freshener. The kitchen still stinks like it and it burns.
HELP!
