Question: Water weight and bloating because of IV fluid?
im in the hospital for a few days because i was dehydrated and I have an eating disorder. When I got here i was 5'4, 90 lbs,a nd im a girl and im 14.5 yrs old.
anyway, im hooked up to an IV. Is that why my stomach is so huge? I know that i am gaining some weight because im supposed to be.
But my stomach is all tight and bloated and sometimes my fingers and arms swell up too.
Once I am off the IV will by stomach shrink back closer to normal?

could be your kidneys aren't working properly ,due to your eating disorder,it isn't fluid in your stomach as it has gone straight into your blood stream

IV fluids do not go into your stomach. They go directly into your bloodstream through the vein it is inserted in, so you are having some other sort of problem.
