Vomiting after eating?!

Question: Vomiting after eating?
I have suffered from vomiting after I eat off and on for years. At one time it was so bad that I could not keep any food down. I have been to doctors that just say I need medication for my nerves. What i don't understand is that even when I am not nervous like in the morning when i wake up or just sitting enjoying a meal with my husband I trow up. I have discovered that after I eat I can't get up. I have to sit there for at least 15 min. That only helps sometimes. It is hard tho because I have a one year old daughter. It also gets especial bad before my period and when I was pregnant. Any advice would be great. Thanks

you suffer from anxiety, you possibly even get panic attacks. which are caused by an over production of the fight or flight hormone. This is probably why you are sick when you eat a meal. When a person is upset or scared or anxious about something they can't eat,or they are sick. You are producing a hormone which does this but your getting too much of it. That's why, when you are pregnant or due a period it gets worse.

There is no magic cure for this, but it might be worth a try taking your doctors advice and taking tablets for nerves. I know you don't feel particularly stressed or anxious when it happens sometimes, but like I said it's the fight or flight, your body is continually on edge.

I have suffered similar for years, and I just try to deep breathe it away. Mine started on my first pregnancy. Also I noticed that certain colours triggered it off. For example, I always seemed to get like this when I was sat in a friends house really relaxed, It wasn't till she changed her decor that I realised that it wasn't happening at her house anymore and we put 2 and 2 together. I started to notice in other places too

It does ease off after a few years when your hormones are not fluctuating as much,

I know what I've said won't make any difference to you, but I thought I would let you know your not the only one suffering.
