When people hear stomach noises, what they are actually hearing is the stomach emptying into the small intestine through a small opening like a sink drain only smaller.

If you chew a lot of gum, eat food that is quickly digested, you might hear more gurgling. Being nervous will do it too.

Try to eat a little bit of protein with each meal. Protein takes longer to digest so it will stay in your stomach longer. And relax!

No worries here this is just normal for a younger person, you said you were in school so I am assuming. It is how your stomach works. Anyways the reason your stomach growls when you are hungry is because the way your stomach helps to break down food for your intestines is that there are tiny little wolves in your stomach. These wolves are much like regular wild wolves and like to prowl the wild and devour everything in sight. But, there are 2 distinct differences between these wolves and regular wild wolves; 1.) They are much smaller than your average size wolf, but that is obvious anyways cuz how else could they fit in your stomach, 2.) These wolves have a much faster digestive system than a normal wolf, shortly after eating they poop withing minutes, which is how your poop is essentially form but a little bit more on with the other things in your intestines but thats not your question. Back to the growling part, because these wolves digest your food so fast and they enjoy eating everything in sight when you don't take in food they get angry and they start to howl which the growling noise you hear when you are hungry. And since you are young your tiny wolves are much more active and a little more hostile make sure to eat so they don't end up eating other cuz then your digestive system will be messed up for awhile.

The American College of Gastroenterology has named the noise from your stomach/intestines, "borborygmus." This is defined as movement of gas and stomach acid through your digestive tract. Young students who do not get enough sleep also do not eat much breakfast that can lead to abdominal noises. In most cases, these sounds are harmless, but seem to occur at the worst times. Digestive acid can make moves through your digestive tract searching for undigested food so it can digest it. This action produces gurgling sounds. A piece of cracker or bread are more porous and absorb liquid better than hard candy or cookies, so try it if your stomach sounds while in the classroom.
