Super sugary foods make me cough. Anyone else experience that?!

Question: Super sugary foods make me cough. Anyone else experience that?
If I eat a piece of chocolate or sugary pralines I get an irritation way in the back of my throat. I often have to cough, and/or drink some liquid to clear it. This only happens with high sugar foods. Does anyone have a similar sensitivity, and, if so, have you gotten a doctor's opinion?

Answers:

Actually, my Chinese friends have advised me to avoid sweet foods and tangerines when I have a cough! So the Chinese have known this for a long time, it seems.

it's possible you are having an alergic reaction, it may not be to chocolate, maybe the choclate you're eating has cheap ingredients in it, look for rashes on you're arms a legs, consult you practising docter or gp

Maybe your are allergic to sugar... and it can cause cough and irritation of throat. It is not necessary for doctor's opinion but better to avoid sugary foods at all.
