What would you suggest for someone with bad acid reflux?!

Question: What would you suggest for someone with bad acid reflux?
I have it even if I by-pass spicy or acidic foods. I use Tums but that
only works temporarily, and I won't take the Prilosec type drugs.
Anyone have any answers that would be of help?

Answers:

The most common causes of Acid Reflux and Heartburn include:
stress, eating before going to bed, eating large meals, fried and fatty food, smoking, alcohol, drinking lots of bubbly (carbonated) beverages such as soda).

Suggestions...
Eat any time you feel like eating. But make it very small portions.
Drinking water can dilute the stomach acids .
After your evening meal walk for a little while before you go to sleep.
Try sleeping on your left side, use as many pillows as you can be comfortable with.

I find a simple remedy like a teaspoon of baking soda in a tumbler of water soothing. Sip it when necessary.

I hope something here helps you, not everyone likes taking the PPIs.
