There was a commercial on tv today that ticked me off?!

Question: There was a commercial on tv today that ticked me off?
Was watching a basketball game today on the Pacific Northwest channels over the internet. It went.

'I want to tell you about a time in American history so that it never repeats itself' (switches to old guy) 'never repeats itself'.

And then it switches to these old people holding kids, talking about being told to not go out and play, thousand dying and being scared.

"Before vaccines there were few ways to protect against deadly illnesses."

"Measles, Meningitis, etc...", even bringing up the fact that one disease killed someone's grandma's kid.

Saying that without vaccines the diseases can reemerge

They all say "I'm here to tell my children to protect their children."

At the end it says:

"Remember.
Vaccinate."

by the American Academy of Pediatrics, pushing THIS website:

The entire commercial pissed me off.

Answers:

So your question was "There was a commercial on tv today that ticked me off?" and then you finish with "The entire commercial pissed me off." I think you might've just answered your own question, sir.

That was easy.

Obviously you're not old enough to remember when we didn't have vaccines, otherwise you wouldn't be offended by the commercial. So what bothers you? The idea of vaccinations saving lives, or the format of hearing people's stories? Maybe you just hate old people and kids?

And so what if the AAP has a website? Maybe reasonable people want to see the information available on it, learn about those diseases, and the risk of re-emergence because too many complacent idiots fail to vaccinate their kids. Did you know meningitis kills college kids, somethines in less than 24 hours? That's happening today, and there is a vaccine available.
