Thinking about my depression and considering going to drugs... help pleasee?!

Question: Thinking about my depression and considering going to drugs... help pleasee?
im depressed, very very VERY much. im 16 and in ninth gr. my parents fight. my relationships dont work., wen i get a gf something does wrong. its been going on for about 4-5 months... ive lost friends i only have about 3 real friends.. i dont wna kill myself. but im tired of trying to be positive and happy when the opposite happens. School isnt working im failing almost everything. cuz i dont try because of everything. and i just dont care. im considering turning to drugs, (( Marijuana, meth, pills)) i took 3 pills today and it knocked me out during biology and i sed i was sleepy but it really made me pass out.. im very depressed. and miserable! its like a prison that i want to get out of and i feel like drugs will make it all stop and i wont have to deal with school and people.

If you are 16 or when you were 16 or 13,14,15. and you took any of these drugs can you please tell me what it felt like and what you went thru? im just wondering if i should do this or not. help? :\ :\

Answers:

Marijuana may not help. It never helped me. I was addicted to adderall for a while and that helped and the withdrawals werent really depressing just really sleepy. Stimulants have a lot of ups and downs and don't work too well. I used a lot of oxycodone for a while too, that is the stuff of gods and has no comedowns. Addiction can be a ***** though and with continued use you will get very depressing withdrawals. You probably got some shitty sedative, actually know what pills you are taking.

After using heavily for 8 or so months it really didn't help anything. Go to a doctor or psychiatrist and try to work something out there. My mom had very bad depression and is now stable on her medication.

If I were you I wouldn't get heavily into abusable drugs. You probably cant afford a nice opiate or stimulant habit. Maybe use on occasion, but don't self medicate with these drugs that are expensive as FOK and aren't a sustainable way of dealing with life. You probably are envisioning something very different than reality when you think about drug use. It is not a ticket out of misery.

life in general

Definatly don't do meth. I am 15 and last year I was doing all kinds if ****, pot, cocaine, tobacco, acid. These things will not help you, I have been depressed for 2 years now and I have taken pills (rx) that have been subscribed to me on and off. Drugs that are like illegal like pot and stuff don't really solve anything, they only make you think everything is ok while you are high, pot is relaxing, that was my main reason for doing that (2bowls a day wake and bake). If your are going to really try to get over it without help it can be hard. A good way that helps is making a plan for yourself about the future. Like years out in ahead, to just a few days ahead. Make that plan, you don't have to write it out but make a plan then when your really feeling down remember the plan and it will help. Also, talk to a really good friend about what is going on (girls are better for this, due to them being softer and understanding better). Last, do not hold it in, when you are alone like in bed or something cry about it and get emotional, it's okay, no one will find out.

Hope this helps, don't keep going with it the way it is, you will start getting introuble and doing things like drugs which just ruin your future and life even more.

I am previous drug user and depressed

this is my answer:

Do not use pills "ever; Pills are man made substances that have not been tested and some of those pills can get you extra depressed...the problme with pills is when you come down off them you feel lousy...so

I would suggest you say to your Mom and Dad: a lady on the Internet said: They want you to buy a bottle of "MULTI VITAMIN AND MINERAL TABLETS for a person of your age; just have your parents go to a pharmacy and ask for "Multi Vitamin and Mineral tablets for children...

then begin to take a Vitamin pill every day; eat better; drink orange juice

Summary: Pills have a known side effect of Depression; so stop those!@

Seriously please don't do any of that. Go to a doctor and tell them, or go to the emergency mental health section of your hospital. Drugs of that kind only make it worse. I tried everything under the sun to help with my depression when I was 14 including what you mentioned. I attempted suicide when I was 16. It seriously didn't help. I went to the hospital and they put me on anti depressants and i went to therapy and it was so much better. It's really hard to open it all up but it's the right way.
