PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!! No inappropriate responses please?!

Question: PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!! No inappropriate responses please?
I have always kind of been drowsy in the mornings. But as I get older I it gets worse. I am 13 now. I have tried a lot of things nut none have been a real success. Here are some facts below listed about me, maybe you could list your opinion. Also is this normal. I have never felt differently as I have woken up. How are you supposed to feel. I didn't notice a real problem until my parents said they have never seen anybody that sleeps as much as me.I also get enough sleep as a teen.

Facts about me......

1. I don't like to eat in the mornings because it hurts my stomach. So I wind up drinking a mocha with caffeine for a energy boost.
2. I am on the computer a lot. Mostly on for youtube and also school.
3.I am not very active. Our school does 30 minutes of P.E. though and I enjoy jump rope at recess for about 15 min
4. I take regular doctor check ups

Here are some questions..........

1. What should I do about breakfast?
2.Whats a good bedtime? Without having to go to bed at like 7 or 8 thats too early.
3.Does hygiene effect sleep? I take a shower every 2 days or usually every other day.

Answers:

well hi there!

this is not as bad as you think. You are 13 so you are hitting puberty so that means your body is growing. you need to use a lot of energy to grow and that will make you extremely tired. that is why you are so drowsy.

As for breakfast, you should eat it, or at least bring a lot of small snacks to eat throughout the day. Eating breakfast will give you calories to burn which convert into energy which will keep you awake. but if you don't or cant eat breakfast then bring snacks for the day. eat them every 2 hours or so. it will give your body energy as well. the spacing of the snacks will make sure you have energy throughout the whole day.

For bedtime, you should get 8 to 9 hours of sleep a night, but more is never a bad thing because again, you are growing and you need sleep to save energy to put towards growing. as you go through high school and as you grow, you wont need to sleep as much and you wont be as drowsy.

Hygiene, although it doesnt directly relate to drowsiness, does help. you should try to shower every day, not only to smell nice but to help you relax. a warm shower before bed will relax your muscles and let you fall asleep easier. Also, exercising is very beneficial. when you exercise an hour a day, you body actually enters a state of activity so it does not become drowsy. this is helpful because if you exercise during the day, it will help you stay awake then at night, when you relax and don't exercise, you can fall asleep quicker.

Dont worry about being tired, itll come and go when you hit growth spurts but follow this and you should be pretty good to go!

first thing, for breakfast eat fruit or something really healthy. if that hurts your stomach its probably because you arent eating healthy enough. a good bedtime is 9 or 9:30 so depending on what time you get up. you must a least sleep for 8 hours at the most. so dont go to bed to late on a school day. and no hygiene does not affect sleep, but heat can make you sleepy. but keep your showers reagular. if they dont help just keep going to the doc!

1.) epic meal time breakfast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZDv9pgHp…
2.) sleep is for the weak
3.) take a shower more often you dirty bastard, you'll never get pussy that way, try hittin the gym too, that will help alot more than a mocha (which women drink btw, drink straight coffee)

life like a boss

1) Something High Protien, Eggs etc

2) 10pm perhaps depends when you actually plan to wake up I always try for at least 8 hours sleep.

3) Not really, if it doesn't bother you then its fine.

1 try and get something more healthy like a protein shake or breakfast shake if real food gives you an upset stomach
2 just go to bed so that you have at least 8-9 hours of sleep
3 and i don't know if hygene affects sleep but i feel much better getting in bed right after a hot shower... and a shower a day is much more clean also try to be a bit more active cause you actually feel better after working out
4 usually at that age you require a lot of sleep and your appetite changes

there are these really YUMMY milk mixes that have protien and fiber in them that when mixed with milk tastes just like regular chocolate milk!! it would be healthier than drinking a mocha.... the drink mixes are called Carnation Breakfast Essentials, flavor: rich milk chocolate.... trust me when I say they are the best!!! try them

I cannot understand why food hurts you in the morning and caffeine does not. I think that is a mind thing.
Your body has not had food all night, so you need something to feed the "machine" to make it run.
What is making your stomach hurt? Try toast, waffles, cereal, pancakes. All easy on the stomach, comfort food.
You do not get enough exercise, try doing something besides sitting in front of the computer. A good bedtime would be 10 pm., and I do not think showers have anything to do with being tired.
And oh, those energy drinks boost you up, and when the caffeine runs out, then you come down hard, where as eating breakfast would not do that.
