I need quick help with Tramadol HCL?!

Question: I need quick help with Tramadol HCL?
I had shoulder surgery, now its been 2 months, I go to physical therapy and it hurt too much.
So I started to use Oxycodon-Acetaminophen 7.5-500 doc gave me, it made me vomit everything include water and I felt like hell, I was spinning and cant sleep.
So he gave me something called Tramadol HCL 50mg tablets. Is this still very strong?
Should I take like half a tablet? Im okay as long as half of it decreases some pain.
Thanks

Tramadol is safe and is not an opiate so will not make you sick like that. Try it as prescribed, I think it will be fine. To be on the safe side, take meds with a little food to help the tummy not react. For me, it doesn't seem very strong at all, but I have always had a high tolerance to meds, meaning, I need more to work than most people. Plain old ibuprophen is a great pain reliever, especially in prescription doses, such as 600mg or 800 mg. You can always take that with the tramadol for more pain relief, as Ibu is safe with almost everything. I also had shoulder surgery and I know how much it hurts! BTW, shoulders take a long time to heal, about a year, so don't be worried if it doesn't heal fast like a cut or something. At 6 months you will be improved, but it takes a year for full recovery. And DO keep up the p/t & exercises...very important with shoulders or else you may never regain full movement!!!

Tramadol HCL is the generic name for Ultram. It's a fairly mild pain reliever that is a little more effective than aspirin and as far as I know has few if any bad side effects. I use it every day and I have for years.

Try half a tab, but ultram is very light weight compared to oxy
