Question: Does marijuana cause brain damage like alcohol does?
Answers:

No sweetie, it does not cause brain damage.
According to research it actually can help brain cells grow. I included a link to the study below if you would like to take a look. And to the idiot saying that you can get addicted to it, it's a complete lie. Marijuana has no chemical dependencies, and is not bad or harmful to you in any way. It's much more harmful drinking a beer, or smoking a cigarette.

It does not cause lung cancer, and some research studies have shown that it may actually cure certain types of cancer. Also; did you know that humans have THC receptors in their brain? Explain why it is bad for us if we have clearly evolved to use it.

My own knowledge.

Not as far as I know, but it can be psychologically addictive. It is also linked to drug induced psychosis (mental health problems) but not brain damage. Mental health problems associated with drug use can be serious, require profesional treatment and some people may never fully recover to the way they were before. If you don't want to play russian roulette with your mental health its best to stay away from drugs - after all they are illegal for a reason.

3 years working in addiction clinics.

long-term chronic use of either substance has been implicated in brain damage. Alcohol causes more physical damage other than the brain.
