VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MOST RECENT tuberculosis (TB) TEST! PLEASE HELP!?!

Question: VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MOST RECENT tuberculosis (TB) TEST! PLEASE HELP!?
To make a long story short, I am volunteering at a hospital nearby, they require two TB tests before you're able to volunteer. I just had my first one on Tuesday, and went back to get it read TODAY. On tuesday my arm wasn't red whatsoever, it just looked like nothing. Today when I woke up my arm had a red circle around the area, and it's a very little bit risen. (I think) and when I went to go get the test read the nurse said I was NEGATIVE, I didn't want to insult her but I asked her "are you sure?" because I was really freaked out this morning. She checked again and said it was negative. The reason I'm concerned is because I'm going to have to take a second one this coming up tuesday, and I've HEARD that if you test positive, and you get another tb test done, that can be very dangerous and possibly deadly. (basically you'll end up with full blown tb)

MY MOM tested positive for tb last year, she was exposed after a vacation in which she left the country. However she did take medication for it, for the required amount of time.

IF ANYONE can help me, that would be soooo appreciated. I'm really concerned

Answers:

You will be fine. TB tests often puff up and turn red. You won't die from taking two TB tests even if you were positive the first time. If you had tested positive the first thing they would do is repeat the test to be sure.
