Signs of infection from a procedure?!

Question: Signs of infection from a procedure?
Two weeks ago along with a spinal tap I had also had a skin biopsy and one of the sites doesn't look the same as the other (the other formed a scab and this one just looks a little more red and a little yellow). Signs of infection?.

Answers:

Redness, swelling and increasing pain as well as drainage at the site are the signs of infection that you need to look for.
Skin biopsy sites can look different depending on the depth of the biopsy. Some do not go full thickness and only taking the first few layers of skin. This will heal and appear different from a full thickness biopsy.
If the wound on the one you're concerned about is mostly closed you can apply and antibiotic cream like Neosporin. This will help if it is infected and if it isn't it won't hurt.
Good luck

I would get it checked right away. An infection could go into your blood stream.
