Should homosexuals be tested for gene mutations?!

Question: Should homosexuals be tested for gene mutations?
It wouldn't be allowed because it would be seen as hatred to the gays. But what makes gay people gay? Most of them don't just become gay when they reach puberty. Most men that are gay now would have been very feminine in their manner when they were younger. So is there an extra or a missing gene in homosexuals? Or do they have increased or decreased amounts of certain hormones??

Answers:

WHAT is WRONG with you people? Why can't you understand that the asker of this question was not being rude or homophobic?! They just asked a question out of curiosity, and it's a valid thing to ponder, without being offensive. "mutated gene" probably sounded like somehing out an alien horror movie to you guys, but I get what the asker is questioning. Just because someone asks what, if anything, could be a factor in a person being gay, DOES NOT MAKE THEM A HOMOPHOBIC. Ok, if I asked what genetics are behind making a person black skinned, does that make me a racist? Stop trying to be so politically correct all the tme and view the question for what it is, a simple and non offensive query regarding lifes beautiful and amazing diversity.

Sheesh!

Lol, it's allowed and has been taking place for many years. I don't see anything wrong or offensive about it - it's as natural to wonder why some people are gay as it is to wonder why different people have different hair colours. There are physical differences between the brains of homosexual and heterosexual men and continuing gene studies. Check out Google Scholar, there are hundreds of articles there.

Edit: The people who consider this so offensive should consider whether it's less offensive to leave the science out of it and let people persecute homosexuals because they think that homosexuality is a choice. By saying that homosexuals are different, science isn't saying that homosexuality is wrong or bad. Just different.

I'm not gay but even I was offended by this question. This is similar to the scholar who once proposed that gay people had a mild form of schizophrenia. I understand what you're trying to ask here but be very careful with your wording. If you really think a gay person is so different from you that they must have "mutated genes" then it would seem the only person with the problem is yourself.

Dude, that is just not a nice thing to think, let alone ASK.
Maybe you have a gene mutation, it might be what makes you ask idiotic questions meant to hurt other people.
There is nothing wrong, or weird about being gay. It is not always an option for some people. I am not even gay and i don't think you could have made me angrier. WOW.
