Question: I am 15, and have to get up at 5 am, what time should i go to bed?
I have to get up at 5 am, it takes me like an hour to just fall asleep, and physically I consider myself to have a 13 to 14 yr old body. What time should I go to bed? Ive had an extremely irregular and unhealthy sleep schedule lately...need advice.

I'm in the same situation. i usually go to sleep at 11, but i try to get in bed by 9. At least by then you have 8-9 hours of sleep.

For eight hours of sleep, go to bed by 9:00 pm.
For nine hours, go to bed by 8:00 pm.
You may even need ten hours; if so, go to bed by 7:00 pm.

My advice: Drink a glass of milk before bedtime, and try 9:00 pm at first. You'll probably be tired enough to go to sleep pretty quickly. If you still have trouble getting up at 5:00 am, and are tired during the day, try 8:30 pm for a few days. If you're still tired, move bedtime up to 8:00 pm.

Now that the days are getting longer, you may start to have trouble going to sleep while it's still light out. Ask your folks to buy some special curtains with opaque linings for your room if the daylight keeps you awake.

Here's a well-known technique for releasing tension so you can sleep. It involves tensing and relaxing your muscles in a certain order. You start with your feet and lower legs. Tense them, hold for about fifteen seconds, then gradually release, and relax for about fifteen seconds. Next tense and relax your upper legs the same way. Next tense and relax your abdominals, then your upper back, your hands and arms, and finally your facial muscles. There's no need to rush this process – it works best when you take your time.

hey dude you should at least be sleepin by 10-11 if not earlier, at your age you need at least 8 hours a night or more to function properly. Remember your brain is still developing cells!!!! Oh and stay away from that green stuff that smells funny that will just fry everything up there. Now go to bed!

Well.. You're supposed to get about 10-12 hours of sleep, so I would say sleep at about 6 pm. It might seem early but your body will thank you and you'll feel more rested.

Hope I have been some help.

No sites. I credit my anatomy and physiology class.
