If you were buried alive, would die from hunger or lack of oxygen first?!

Question: If you were buried alive, would die from hunger or lack of oxygen first?
Answers:

Oxygen for sure,
unless of course you can survive without oxygen for 3+ Days...

Assuming you aren't buried along with several weeks' worth of oxygen, it would certainly be the lack of oxygen and buildup of carbon dioxide that would kill you. In fact, there's a good chance you'd be quickly crushed or asphyxiated under the weight of whatever you were buried in.

MythBusters, partially.

Lack of Oxygen. It takes about a week or so to die from hunger, and even less time like 3 days or so to die without water. But not having oxygen you'll die in less than a day. I'd say maybe even less than half a day, or an hour (depending on what you're buried in).

Well, I guess it depends on the space in which one were buried and ones' physical condition prior to being buried alive (say healthy and on a full stomach). So, it could be from either one first but one would definitely DIES....

Am a mortician, you have a very interesting question that can only be answered by actual experimentation

Oxygen. It goes a LOT quicker than your tummy fraying away.

Oxygen.

Lack of oxygen
