What are some good smelling, strong deodorants? Can you tell if you smell?!

Question: What are some good smelling, strong deodorants? Can you tell if you smell?
I am always paranoid about smelling bad and I sweat pretty easily, so I want good protection that still has a fruity smell. I am a teenager also, if that helps.

Also if I smelt would I be able to tell? because I was at a party over the weekend and everyone was dancing and I was sweaty but when i went to the bathroom and smelt myself i didnt smell...could i just not have smelt it?

Thanks!

Mostly it's not your sweat that smells bad, it's the bacteria that grows on your body that smells bad, and that bacteria thrives when it's warm and damp. It takes time for bacteria to grow, so you're not going to smell bad immediately after dancing up a storm. If you don't bathe for 6-8 hours afterward, the bacteria will have time to grow and make their own particular stinkiness, and then you'll have noticeable B.O. (Noticeable to you as well, though over time you become accustomed to any smell you're exposed to and stop noticing it.) Dancing up a storm won't make you stinky - just towel off when you're done, and you're good for the rest of the evening.

Partly its substances secreted by your sweat and oil glands that smells bad. (Or rather, smells funky, because some folks claim that these are signals of some kind to the opposite sex, like musk from a musk ox.) This is the acrid, citrus smell, the "smell of fear", when fear or nerves make you perspire. This is primarily what underarm deodorants target, and why so many have a pungent, citrus aroma, which masks the odor and confuses people as to what they're smelling. ("What's that? BO? No, wait, it's only lemons.")

Deodorants all use the same active ingredients, so what you're really shopping for is scent. Baby powder, vanilla, and citrus are the most popular, and citrus is most popular among young women because they're often having eek! moments that trigger perspiration, and citrus masks that odor. Secret has made citrus deodorant since forever, but there are a lot of choices. Just head to the pharmacy and start sniffing.
