Advise on getting better?!

Question: Advise on getting better?
So the campus doctor put me on antibiotics called amoxicillin, mucus relief MD, sinus relief, and Advil.
Now this is all great but I still feeling like crap and its been about 4 days and my ears at stuffed and I've tried almost everything to get it clear, my nose goes in and out of being stuffed. And now im blowing out yellow mucus. Every time I swallow it feels like a razor is going down my throat. I cant sleep because my throat is so tender that when i breathe out my mouth it gives me pain, and most of the time bot nostrils are stuffed so i have to breath out my mouth. So is there anything i can do or take that can make feel better or even just help my throat and ears mostly?? Btw i live on campus and i don't have a way to get to the store right away...any home remedies?? Thank you for reading =]

Well...
Sounds like you just have a bad cold. Hot drinks with honey in are good for your throat, and I find that ice cream is good if your glands are swollen.
If you've not cleaned your ears in a while that might not be helping. A couple of drops of warm Olive Oil put into the ear and then removed after 1 minutes is good for cleaning, and maintaining healthy ears =)
The yellow mucus is normal, I think. I tend to get that near the end of a cold.
Medicine drinks like Hot Lemons are also quite good because they contain Paracetamol.

To help clear your nose you could try Vicks or Olbas Oil.
Steam is also quite good. If you boil some water and pour it into a bowl you can breath in the steam. This works best if you lean over the bowl and place a towel over you.

Just keep blowing your nose until everything coms out =)
I hope some of these help!

I have had the same experience as you. For one thing, I had the same medicine and symptoms. it didn't work for me either. So, I did it me style. I ate a lot of ice cream and drank tea. Also I just blew my nose until it all came out. It worked for me. if you want to try it, go right ahead.
