Really Bad Anxiety, I Think I Have A Problem, Please Help Me :(?!

Question: Really Bad Anxiety, I Think I Have A Problem, Please Help Me :(?
My Anxiety is so bad that I get panic attacks out of nowhere . My chest gets tight and it feels like I'm having a heart attack. I always think I'm dying or something is eternally wrong with me. For instance , today I ate so much I had a bowl of cereal, mac and cheese, a slice of pizza, icecream, salad, soup, steak and potatoes, icecream bar and popcorn (mind you I'm pregnant) and I got myself worked up thinking that my stomach ripped and my stomach acid was leaking out and I was dying because I got a sharp pain. If my heart seems like its not beating normally I think I'm dying. I'm terrified of the world always going to end. This is so aweful, its really ruining my life. I'm always so paranoid. Is there something else mentally wrong with me besides my anxiety? I also have depression too. I just really feel like something else is going on.

Ignore the person who suggested Ativan (lorazepam). It could very well harm your baby. The only thing I could find that shouldn't affect your child is Benadryl (diphenhydramine). For you, therapy is your best option. Learn some breathing techniques and how to meditate.

You should tell your doctor about this as soon as possible. You could have a physical or hormonal problem causing this, and it needs to be ruled out.

Your anxiety does sound bad, have you tried aromatherapy, yoga or breathing techniques to help it go down?

You are pregnant and this kind of anxiety is not good for the baby.

Also, your diet is also not the healthiest and some of the foods that you are eating could be adding to your anxiety. You should consume mostly fruits and vegetables, and give the junk like pizza.

Maybe you should try a program like panic away, it is what helped me get mine under control

I would say don't start medicating for it. I have had experience with this and a support group is what you need, also a church group will help you. It will also help if you keep talking to yourself also because deep down you know it is an irrational thought that you Re having, so you are a little bit ahead of the problem. You may be anxious due to being pregnant, because of the various and stronger hormones in your body at this time. I hope you start feeling better. Anxiety is no fun.

I've had random panic attacks; I know how scary they are.

Thinking something is seriously wrong with you or that you're going to die is a normal part of having a panic attack. That chest tightness, stomach churning, pain, fast heartbeat, are all part of the panic. It's your body going into "fight or flight" when there isn't anything around to fight or run away from.

It can be so scary, especially when you don't know why they're happening. I went to see my doctor (just a regular ol' doctor) and he helped me out by putting me on medicine. I know you're pregnant, but there is some medicine that is safe during pregnancy, and s/he can talk to you about what to do. Also, cognitive therapy really helps because they teach you how to deal with a panic attack when it happens.
