Question: Anyone who has had a colonoscopy?
Can't say I am too fond of someone putting a camera where the sun don't shine.
Are you under anaesthetics... like asleep while it happens? ...I really do not want to be awake and conscious.
Does it feel as invasive as it sounds?
anything else that I should know?

It's surprisingly easy. Well, the procedure is easy. Cleaning yourself out ahead of time is vile.
You drink this mix that you put into a gallon of water. It tastes like hell and you are supposed to drink almost all of it. Then you start emptying out and you pretty much don't stop. Non-stop poop. It's pretty gross and exhausting and annoying.
Back to the procedure ;D
I was passed out before they even started. I've been told you aren't out - you just don't remember - either way, I couldn't have been happier. And the best part - I expected to wake up feeling, uh, icky and dirty at the point of entrance - but I didn't! I even managed to stop at a coffee shop on the way home and have some fruit salad.
I hope they figure out what's up with you before you even get that far. And hopefully it's something minor and manageable. Good luck.
