Different hospitals have different age limits in the pediatric ward, generally ranging from 18 (The age when you legally become an adult in America) to 21. The reason for this is that the body of children is different from that of an adult, and there needed to be an official cut-off age for hospitals to use. And the limit must be at least 18 years or older because until then you are not legally an adult.

Just knew it.
