Can lack of sleep make you feel sick, or actually get you sick?!

Question: Can lack of sleep make you feel sick, or actually get you sick?
2 days ago (at least I THINK it was 2 days ago) I tried to pull a all nighter lol. I made it too 5:30 and fell asleep. And yesterday, I stayed up intill 1 (I wasn't trying to stay up all night again) and I feel sick now. All I want to do is sleep, but my mom keeps waking me up. Like my stomach hurts, and I have a headache. I feel like blaaaa.

Seriously, I'm writing this on my laptop laying in my bed, in my dark room ready to go back to sleep. I think i'll go back to bed anyway, I'm just curious if I just made myself feel sick :/

Answers:

Lack of sleep can make you very sick. During sleep is when your immune system repairs your body. If your body does not get sleep, it cannot heal itself from fatigue or illness, therefore making you more susceptible to contracting an infection.

yes lack of sleep does make you feel sick and you can actually make yourself get sick if your not used to it at all. some people get flu like symptoms from it also.

yes such can .. when i dont get enough sleep i puke!!! it lowers your immune system and abilities to fight off sickness which will make you more vulnerable to viruses etc...

Yes, definitely.
