Every 6 hours or 3 times a day?!

Question: Every 6 hours or 3 times a day?
My doctor gave me a medication (anti biotic = Amoxicillin) to take 3 times a day.

I just took one at 11:30 am. I can not do a math and I am 43 year old college graduate. How do I figure it out when to take medicine ?

Every 8 hours ( 24 / 3 = 8) like 8 am, 4 pm, 12 am ? (I just took one at 11:30 am, so... it would be 7:30 pm, 3:30 am, 11:30 am...) ? I do not want to have to get up at 3:30 am to take the meds tho..

or
every 6 hours like 8 am, 2 pm, and 8 pm 2 am... hmm I guess that would be 4 times a day interval ? So, I guess every 8 hours.

Okey then how should I adjust time more that fits my life conveniently ?

Answers:

you dont have to take the pills exactly the same time every day, your body doesnt care or realize what time it is. take one when you get up in the morning take one just after lunch and one at night before bed. its easier that way for you to remember, morning noon and night! good luck!

Three times daily could be as follows...and it doesn't have to be as exact as you are calculating:

Take the next one at 9PM I know it's more than 8 hours, but you need to get yourself on a good schedule)
Next one at 6AM, then from there do 3PM and 11PM
From that point on you can make the times 7AM, 3PM and 11PM

Three times a day if fine. It isn't necessary to get up during the night. Space the dosage as far apart as possible.

Do what the doctor told you. Or ask a pharmacist

ew thats gross
