Help with teen bed wetting?!

Question: Help with teen bed wetting?
This is very embarrassing, but I still wet the bed and I'm 16. Even when I don't drink anything before I go to bed. I can't sleep over at my friend's house because I never know when it'll happen. I looked into the condition, but found mostly articles about little kids and that it's just a phase. Apparently I'm in the 1% of people who still wet the bed after a certain age. Any help would be appreciated here. Does anyone know any information on why people don't stop? Because I know a couple of adults in my family who still do. Please, don't be rude, this is a touchy issue and trolls aren't welcome, be serious. (I'm not exactly sure how to approach my doctor on this one, seeing how I don't have a regular one and no insurance) The condition is called Nocturnal Enuresis by the way.

Answers:

One possible cause could be that your body doesn't produce enough ADH, which causes the body to produce less urine at night. It is also possible for this to be caused by diabetes, or simply due to your genes (i.e. one of your parents may have had the same problem). The most likely reason is that you simply sleep so deeply that your brain does not register the signal from the bladder that it is full.

Maybe you should set alarms, when my younger cousin first started coming to my house she always wet my bed so I set some alarms on my phone woke her up and took her to the restroom. Also (i know you probably already do this), you could try going to the bathroom right before you go to bed, even if you don't have to go. Another thing you can do is not eat foods that could mess with your bladder (like chocolate) and avoid drinking anything 1-2 hours before sleeping. But I really recommend seeking some medical help!

Hi I know you say you don't drink before you go to bed but try not drinking after 6.00, if you know the time it happens try setting your alarm 2 go off about a hour before so you can go to the toilet, you might find you will get into a routing of waking up before your normally wetting it might work worth a go

I suggest poise brand liners. They are less embarrassing than other brands

lol, i feel for you,
