What is the difference between "anesthesiologist" and "anesthetis!

Question: What is the difference between "anesthesiologist" and "anesthetist"?
I know they both administer anesthetics but other than that i'm not sure. Just trying to study for my college course. Thanks!

Answers:

an anesthesiologist is a doctor that practices anesthesia. a nursing anesthetist is an advanced degree nurse specially trained and certified to administer anesthetic medication, but under the direction of an anesthesiologist. Its the same concept as a nurse practitioner working under the rule or "license" of a Medical doctor

Anesthesiologist usually refers to a doctor of anesthesia (medical doctor)...an anesthetist may refer to a CRNA or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist which is an Advanced Practice degree that RN's can obtain.

One is a doctor and the other one is a technician.
