Question: Why do paramedics want you to keeping your eyes open?
This is probably a stupid question, but I always wondered why when someone is in trouble and needs medical attention why the paramedics always urge the patient to keep their eyes open? Just something Ive always wondered. Thanks!

No question is stupid, it's how we learn and grow. I would think it would be so that the patient didn't drift into a coma. Keeping the eyes open would mean the brain is taking in information and also they will be talking to them and hoping the brain is still absorbing this.

So they won't drift away, because, when you near death, you feel the need to go to sleep, your really tired, and they don't want you closing your eyes so you don't give in to death.
