How does your body react to anxiety?!

Question: How does your body react to anxiety?
When I get nervous my legs tense up, my temperature rises, and my heart beats rapidly. I was curious to find out what symptoms others experience.

Answers:

Your mind is very powerful, I may be 16 but I suffer from chronic panic attacks. Anxiety can ruin a person if they let it over take them.

When dealing with anxiety your body can produce any symptoms. In fact. Most common is a faint ringing in your ears, pounding in your chest and a numbness in your limbs, but symptoms vary from person to person.

The more a person thinks about symptoms during a panic attack, the more those symptoms become reality, you can create rashes, itchiness and bumps.

Diseases associated with anxiety are psychosomatic and hypochondria which both relate to the creation of false symptoms or insignificant bodily functions which are mistaken for life threatening situations.

My advice to you is to watch a funny movie or listen to music. Engage in a conversation with a close friend, the key is to distract your mind from the symptoms. If it becomes hard to concentrate on daily things such as school or work talk to your doctor about xanax, but be careful because its highly addictive and only take in times of desperate need.

Hope this helps! My prayers are with you :)

Yeah I have dealt with anxiety and anxiety attacks in the past. My hands sweat. My heart feels like it's running a marathon without me.

I never get any leg feelings though....

Full blown panic attack is the worst experience ever. I wont even begin to describe that for your sake. :)
