Should I get my tonsils out?!

Question: Should I get my tonsils out?
Alright! Well. I am 13 years old. Female. 7th grade. And I wanted to get my tonsils out, since every...EVERY morning, I have congestion in my throat. I feel nasty and everything. I started to snore pretty loudly now. I usually get colds, and my throat gets sore, and I get barely talk. It usually hapeens at night, the most. But I do not think it is because my thoat is worn out. SO should I? Will my insurance (Gateway) cover it? And can you tell me what happens a little before the "sugery", like to put me to asleep, how long it'll take to recover...ect! Ok! Thanks! :)

Answers:

I can't tell you what to do because I can't examine you in person, Amanda. You need to see a doctor and get a professional opinion.
Your insurance should definitely cover it, and surgery is easy. They put you to sleep and you'll have the best sleep ever! Then you'll wake up and say, "Is it over already??!" The recovery might be a little uncomfortable, but millions have gone through it! You can do it!
Best of luck to you, Amanda! ;)

Nurse.

You must have infections if your resistance is down, and it is not good to goo walking around all infected.
The operation does not take long, and how long it takes you to recover is how you keep up your strength. I put all my food in a blender and drank it, and within days, I did not hurt so much.

Go see a doctor. The congestion and snoring is not caused by your tonsils. Neither is your sore throat when you get a cold. The only way you're going to get your tonsils removed (and covered by insurance) is if you have tonsillitis or if recommended by your doctor.

do not take your toenails out it will hurt
