What does an IV feel like?!

Question: What does an IV feel like?
Does it feel like a pinch? Is it worse than a blood test?? Thanks!

Answers:

It does feel like a blood test initially. The difference is, they leave a thin plastic catheter in your vein to deliver the IV fluids or medication. This does not hurt, but you may feel the cold of the fluid going into your arm.

There is a pinch when it is first put in. After that, you shouldn't feel it at all.
