I'm guessing you are thinking of the "Rule of Nines." It is used to assess the percentage of body surface that has been burned. It does not directly predict a victim's chance of survival, but obviously the higher the number the greater the risk of death. I don't like to copy and paste websites, but this gives you the chart and percentages.
BTW: anterior means front, posterior means back. As in front of head (anterior) etc....

A person can survive as a severe burn easy. Don't you know about that one girl on extreme home make over who was in a crib fire and ow kids are afrai of her because of how she looks. My friend has been severely burned. Idt there is a metthod like that. If they are bredathing and they are hydrated and their heart is beating they'll most llikely live.
