Question: What are some things nurses have to stomach in their profession?
I'm thinking about going to school for RN but, if nurses have to deal with blood and guts then forget it.
Answers:
It depends on what nursing field you choose. I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and often find myself assisting in the operation room. I do not consider it "blood and guts". I am quite intrigued to see something as miraculous as a beating human heart. However, other nursing fields are a lot "tamer" if that is what you desire. There is plenty of opportunity for all and nursing pays very well.
As a CRNA MS, I earned over $130,000 last year.
