I know the temple and throat can be fatal if contacted the right way. If you just want a little time to escape, I think the nose is best. Square, straight on, flush in the snotbox. It will give the involuntary reaction of tearing and most importantly, obscuring their vision. Instantly, their eyes will well up and you can get away from them.
