I'm gaining weight even though I exercise and eat right. Please help?!

Question: I'm gaining weight even though I exercise and eat right. Please help?
I exercise on the treadmill 3 days a week for 40 mins.
I eat right. I normally consume 1300-1500 calories a day.

Yesterday, for example I had a boiled egg with 2 sausages, toast, milk, honey and almonds. For dinner I had KFC grilled chicken, sting beans, 1 biscuit and potatoes. I had an apple too.
I ate a salad for lunch.

I'm sure it's not my period either.
It should come on in about 4 days.

I do crunches and leg exercises, aswell.

I'm 18

Since I've started exercising, my weight was risen to 140 from 133 and I'm 5'4.
I'm sure it's not muscle because my stomach looks fatter.
I've lost 35 pounds in 2 years but I would eat ANYTHING- just watch the portions.
How many calories should I consume?
Please help.

Thanks.

Answers:

I know that calorie intake directly causes weight but I have to say your food intake looks really unhealthy. There is only one serving of veggies and one serving of fruit. Also with a diet like this it is easy to over consume. Make sure you are keeping count of the calories before you eat them and are not recounting it at the end of the day.

By the way if you want to stay a constant weight general rule of thumb is your weight times 10, so you would be eating 1330 calories a day (not including exercise). But please add more fresh vegetables and fruit to your diet (4 veggies & 3 fruits are the recommended daily minimum). Fruits and vegetables generally help curb food cravings. Also, if possible, try and add 30 minutes of cardio a day.

Good luck
