I didn't sleep well for ages - I'm talking over a year.?!

Question:

I didn't sleep well for ages - I'm talking over a year.?

I tried going to bed later but it didnt make a difference. I wasn't really bothered because I didnt seem "tired" by it, but after a while I only slept for about 4 hours at night. I still have trouble sleeping and am always awake by 6am.
I can usually hear tiny noises which keep me awake, such as a car streets away. I tried ear plugs and they have helped alot but now I can't sleep without them. If i loose them or forget to take them when I stay somewhere else, I lay awake all night, no matter what I do I just can't get to sleep without them.
Is there anything I can do to help me get to sleep?
Does this happen to anyone else?

Answers:

sleep patterns are a function of hormones in your brain. you evidently need to regulate them. I use MELATONIN to help go to sleep and regulate my sleep patterns. you can purchase it at any drug store in the vitamin supplement aisle or at a natural vitamin store.

you shouldn't need to take it more than a couple of nights...and it does not leave you with a hang over feeling. i have to use it a couple of times a year.

good luck :)
