Yes, but it doesn't have to be as long as it would have to be for traditional electrolysis. Stop waxing at least 2 months before you have it done. You can shave in the meantime, but have to stop doing even probably at least 24 hours before the treatment. Though, check with the clinic you're going to. They may not need more then 24 hours worth of growth. You do have to stop waxing or tweezing though.
