What are some easy ways to get longer and deeper sleep?!

Question:

What are some easy ways to get longer and deeper sleep?

Answers:

One of the best ways to get a long and deep sleep is to do more excercise during the day and in the afternoon (after work or school). Not only will this keep you healthy and fit, but this will keep you asleep in a point which is known as REM Sleep, which means that you can dream.

The enviroment affects you too: make sure that there is absolutely no light or noise (the hum of the airconditioner might be fine with you, though). Be sure that indoor temperatures are perfect.

Your psychology affects how well you sleep: be sure that you are not excited, or have just done something that would excite you. The best possible state of mind (aside from sleepiness) would be calm and relaxed (think like you've just done some big project and all you want to do is to hit the sack).

How you sleep is essential for health and how deep you sleep. I sleep more often on my back, but you may like your side better. Your head should be at least 1 and a 1/2 inches to 3 inches off the bed. For best possible results, try to sleep with a molding pillow which forms with your head (tempurpedic or something like that). Your bed should be just as good and not too springy. Try to not sleep with your head on your hand, if you do that often. And I find that it is easier to sleep deeper when you sleep straight, but that might vary with people. Something that is definite however, is that you SHOULD sleep with clean sheets. It can make anyone feel better.

Although people say don't sleep with an empty or full stomach, I've never actually found any difference in my sleep. But then again, it probably varies with people. I suggest that you sleep on a content stomach. I really think that you should stuff your stomach that night with some honey, some bananas, maybe a small slip of turkey, and definitely some chamomile tea. Bananas are essentially sleeping pills, honey helps you sleep, and chamomile tea is a very good idea if you're having trouble getting sleepy. Turkey, although a lot of it keeps you awake, a little bit can get you asleep.

If you have trouble calming down, I suggest you dunk in a warm bubble bath or at least a shower for a long time.
