What will Alcoholics Anonymous do about the new, stop craving alcohol drug?!

Question:

What will Alcoholics Anonymous do about the new, stop craving alcohol drug?

Read earlier this week that a drug that was developed to help people get over the craving for cigarettes may be found to help people get over the craving for alcohol (it's in the study stage now). If it is shown to work, what will AA and the profit making arm of AA (the clinics, spas, alcoholic counsellors, etc) do to try to keep it from getting to market?

Answers:

True-believers will say that a pill may stop the drinking, but it will not cure the spiritual disease; that can only be addressed through the 12 Steps of AA....

Look, someone already did.

When I quit drinking on my own, I went out and got a life, I didn't hide in church basements, praying not to relapse. Many of the people I was in treatment with have failed at the program several times and keep going back for more. And one of the favorite AA sayings (incorrectly attributed to Einstein) is:
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."
