Electrical outlets upside down at doctors' offices?

Hello!

It seems like every doctor's office I go to has their 3 pronged electrical outlets upside down on the wall. Does anyone what the purpose of this may be?

Most state electrical codes now require that for safety reasons the ground lug must be placed at the top, making them appear upside down.
