This is going to sound stupid. But I am scared...Please?

I am a teenager. My grandfather had lung cancer before I was born, and from what I know, they could fix it. He alter died of a brain anyurism (didn't spell that right). I have smoked cigarette's like twice, and I am scared to death that I will get lung cancer. Could any body please tell me the symptoms. Is lung cancer common in teens?

I do have a cough, but that has been on and off for like 2 years, I saw the Dr. about it and she attributed it to allergies.

No, it's not common in teens. Cigarettes do increase your chance of getting lung cancer---but that's if you smoke for years.

BUT....I hate to tell you.....you could never smoke another cigarette in your life and still get lung cancer. People who have never smoked get lung cancer ALL the time. Remember Christopher Reeve's wife, Dana? She died soon after he did.....from lung cancer. She never smoked. My aunt died of lung cancer and she never smoked.
The only thing you can do is NOT smoke and take care of yourself. Those are really the things you can do to prevent lung cancer.
