Getting a Physical- PLease i need answers?

So I have to get my physical and i know i have to get bloodwork and i know i have to get my tetnus shot but everytime i go i cry hysterically and my blood pressure goes up and that just makes everything 10 times worse. Its not like i Want to cry i dont understand why i do i have 4 physicals in the past 4 years and everytime it just gets worse idk what to do anymore

Tell the nurse that shots make you nervous and do not watch as you get the shot. If you're getting a shot in the shoulder dangle your arm "like an elephants trunk." Seriously. Let it hang as loose as it can. That relaxes the muscle even if you're nervous. If the shot is in the butt bend your knee on the side that will get the shot or if laying down turn your feet so your toes point inward, pigeon toed. That relaxes the butt muscle that the shot goes in. If they let you bring an iPod then listen to your favorite music when the lab draws your blood. And always tell your self "I can do this. It will be over soon."
