What did this and what should I do?? (PICS)?
I will give you a little history first. I am 33 weeks pregnant, I was at my parents house visiting (they live on a farm in Southern Cali), I was sitting on the porch and it felt like something bit me on the ankle, I swatted at it because I know there are horse flies and mosquitos so I didn't think anything of it. I felt one on the other ankle and did the same. I didn't scratch it or anything though. The next day my ankles were stinging so I got a look at them. They were swollen, bright red, rock hard and hot to the touch. They looked like this;

I already went to urgent care. I got back about an hour ago. The doctor saw them when they looked like this, he said he didn't know what it was. He told me to keep my feet elevated and that it was possibly a large mosquito bite. Doesn't look that way to me. Never had one spread either. Anyone know what could do this?
Answers:
Looks like a bug bite (of course) try not to itch it. Use a calamine lotion or a benedryl cream on it for the itching. You can also use ice on it to help the swelling. I have used white vinegar on bites before and it takes the itch away. Pay close attention to it over the next couple of days. If it is looking more red than now go back to the doctor. At that point you may need an antibiotic.
