Would this make you really angry too?

It breaks my heart each and every day to see patients who cannot afford or don't have any sort of health insurance whatsoever. It seems that our doctors office staff have become insensitive jerks and the only thing that they are worried about is the almighty dollar!

Now please don't get me wrong,I totally understand and agree with the fact that doctors should get paid for the services that they provide to their patients,but whatever happened to having some compassion and caring for the patients who aren't made of money and don't have medical insurance?

I see patient accounts being turned over to collection agencies everyday,and the patients account isn't even six months old yet,what is wrong with this picture? I have even heard patients TRYING to set up payment plans with our doctors office and even then,the office still turns it over to a collection agency if they feel that they are not getting their money when they want their money which is NOW!

Why can't doctor offices try to WORK WITH PATIENTS instead of being insensitive jerks about a patient's account that isn't even six months old AND the patient is TRYING to pay off as much of the bill as they can,it still isn't good enough for the doctors office!

I have heard the office staff say to uninsured people that the doctor cannot see them unless they pay X amount of dollars towards their bill,or pay off their previous bill in full. I just don't understand where our caring,compassionate,and understanding office staff went to,and now we are dealing with office staff who only care about that almighty dollar,that is so sad!

If I was a millionaire,I would try to help as many medically uninsured people as I could. It just makes me so angry when uninsured people are treated with disrespect and like dirt just because they cannot afford health insurance!

80% of the people in this country who are in debt are in the hole the most to the health care industry. At least I have my health cause I know I cant afford to be sick. When some one who makes 10,000 a year breaks their arm and doesn't have insurence it can financially devestating for that person for years to try and pay off that bill.
