What would cause your feet to go numb while sitting or standing?!

Question:

What would cause your feet to go numb while sitting or standing?

I am a 33 year old male in good physical shape. I work out with weights and do cardio 3-4 times a week. Recently I noticed that my feet-more so my right foot goes slightly numb and tingles-similar to when your foot goes to sleep- while sitting on hard surfaces or standing for more than a few minutes. I have not been in an accident or hurt my back, etc. Any ideas?

Answers:

Sometimes you could be pinching an artery or a nerve. Either case would cause some tingling. You may need to have your stance checked to make sure nothing else is wrong. Also, your feet may have changed shape and your shoes could be too tight. Poor blood flow is the normal reason for tingling. So try not to tie your shoes so tight. If none of these work, you may want to see a podiatrist (not pediatrist) and/or a chiropractor.
