How do I heal a bad burn (motorcycle burn)?
I burned the inside of my calf on a motorcycle one week ago. The blister popped and the top layer of skin came off. It's about the size of the bottom of a cup and really hurts. Is it best to cover it with guaze? Only use cream? Let it dry? Help me out here! I would go to the doctor, but I'm in Italy for a month and would like to avoid that if possible (I wouldn't understand them and I've heard the healthcare isn't that thorough). Any suggestions?

At this stage, apply an antibiotic ointment and cover loosly with a clean bandage to keep dirt out.
