why when some people some people drink do they some cigarettes excessively like chain smoke?thanks

i mean its like u want it more than usual.i wont smoke all day but when i drink i can smoke a whole pack in 3 hours.

That's a good question. I'm a partier and smoker. When I'm drunk I chainsmoke. I think there's a few reasons why. First off, with less inhibitions your body is more likely to be sensitive to cigarette cravings. Also, smoking is often a social activity which goes hand in hand with drinking. And a lot of times, people go on cigarette 'breaks'. Especially at clubs or big parties, I like to take breaks from the wildness, smoke a cigarette, maybe have some lighter conversation before jumping back in. Most importantly, smoking just feels great when your trashed, I don't know why but it does, probably because your full (of alcohol), so kind of similar to smoking a cigarette after a big meal maybe?
