Stress/tension/anxiety-Wh... am I suffering from?

In some situations, I get a very intense build up of anger / rage, a bit like the cartoon characters that turn red from the feet up. I'm not an aggressive or violent person, and usually end up just embarrassing myself. This is a problem I've had all my life. People say I'm too serious, and that I think too much. It's true that when I have even a small problem, I tend to dwell on it and lose sleep. Does anyone feel the same and have you found something that helps get this feeling under control?

You may not like my answer, but the answer is you need to control your breathing when you start to feel like this. Take in deep breathes and while breathing in think the words "I am". When exhaling think " in control". This will help control your heart rate and will instantly start to calm you down.
