I'm going to the doctors today and I can't pronounce my doctor's last name.?
Her last name is Borirchayakava or something... She's thai so her last name is pretty complicated. The last time I scheduled an appointment for her, I simply asked for Dr. Kesara (her first name). I want to be as polite as possible when I see her later on, so would it be ok to just call her Dr. Kesara or Dr. B? Mind I don't want to look like I can't pronounce her last name. I kind of want to just go with Dr. Kesara but I don't know if that's disrespectful or okay. Thanks!

Dr. B. would be proper and acceptable. She's probably been called that many times before. I work for a doctor with a long, difficult name, and we call him Dr. K. He and everyone else knows who we mean.
